1. Who Can Request Data Deletion?
Any individual whose personal records or credentials exist within the SSCHKT application may request deletion:
- Temple Counter Operators & Staff: Individuals who have been assigned a login username and password to operate the billing and receipt counter.
- Devotees & Donors: Individuals whose names, mobile numbers, family member details, or residential addresses were recorded during seva bookings, donations, or Shashwatha Pooja registrations.
- SMS Recipients: Devotees who wish to stop receiving automated SMS alerts for upcoming poojas.
2. What Data Will Be Deleted Upon Request
Upon verified request and identity confirmation, we will execute the following:
For Counter Operators
- User account credentials and login access revoked immediately.
- Operator username, contact email, and profile deleted from the user database.
- Active sessions invalidated across all devices.
For Devotees & Donors
- Phone numbers and residential addresses purged from active contact directories.
- Immediate removal and cancellation from all future automated SMS reminder queues.
- Personal identifiers delinked or anonymized from active operational lookup rosters.
3. Statutory Retention & Legal Audit Requirements
Important Notice Regarding Financial & Audit Records
Sarvajanika Shree Chamundeshwari Kshetra is a registered non-profit religious and charitable trust governed by Indian accounting, trust audit, and taxation laws (including Income Tax Act provisions for donations and religious institution financial transparency).
Under applicable law, issued financial receipt vouchers, donation ledger numbers, and general cash/bank deposit records cannot be destroyed or erased during the mandatory statutory financial retention period (typically 7 to 8 financial years).
How we respect your privacy: In such circumstances, your personally identifiable contact information (phone number and physical address) is anonymized or redacted from operational search views, ensuring that no further communication or personal lookup can be conducted while preserving the financial audit trail required by law.
4. Processing Timeline & Confirmation
- Acknowledgement: Within 48 to 72 business hours of receiving your request, our office will send an acknowledgement via email or SMS.
- Verification: If necessary, we may contact you on the registered mobile number to confirm your identity and prevent malicious deletion requests.
- Final Execution: Data deletion, account deactivation, or record anonymization is completed within 15 to 30 calendar days.
- Confirmation: Once the deletion process is concluded, a formal confirmation email or SMS notification is dispatched to you.
